Amar Jyoti is a voluntary organization rendering rehabilitative services to persons with disabilities through inclusive and integrated education, medical care, vocational training, child guidance and self-employment since 1981. With its pioneering concept of integration and inclusion, Amar Jyoti is running a school where 602 children with and without disability are studying together in equal number. The school curriculum includes vocational training sports and other extra curricular activities, which helps immensely in inculcating confidence and developing all-round personalities. A free mid-day meal and medical care facilities are also provided during school hours. Special sections of the school cater to the slow learners through special educators. These children get opportunities of social, recreational and vocational integration along with academic remediation as per need under the Partial Integration Programme of Academics.
